Genesis 27 & 28; Psalm 4; Luke 11

Jacob terrified and awed.....still bargains w/God, 'if' to me indicates a lack of knowing You, the God of his father and Grandfather?? He has cheated his brother and his father and is on the run, hasn't claimed the God of his father Isaac, scared of Him but not committed to him?? So how did Isaac raise his boys? Why was Rebecca ok w/deceiving her husband? Knowing his wrestling match w/God is coming up looking for who my Abba is in the story? OT to new....Jesus clearly saying 'don't'.......

Luke 11:^10-13"Don't bargain with God. Be direct. Ask for what you need. This is not a cat-and-mouse, hide-and-seek game we're in. If your little boy asks for a serving of fish, do you scare him with a live snake on his plate? If your little girl asks for an egg, do you trick her with a spider? As bad as you are, you wouldn't think of such a thing—you're at least decent to your own children. And don't you think the Father who conceived you in love will give the Holy Spirit when you ask him?"

and yet Jacob is where the blessings continue? So God, through Abraham guaranteed the blessings no matter what his descendants did or do? What a God huh? And that I am in that family so very awed and grateful. So today I will YIELD in the awe and listen, face my fears and obey. crap......help me Spirit these are undoable without You and I NEED Your help.
