2 Samuel 6; 1 Chronicles 13; Psalm 68; Matthew 17

....too much ridin on being distracted.....

and while all I want to do right now is go in a far off place and cry...you can't ....too much ridin on bein distracted..so Father help me please....prayers to live risky look different for different people and now to just step into instead of away from....to enter into .....to simply follow and ....too much ridin on being distracted by what I think.....

Matthew 17: Jesus said, "What a generation! No sense of God! No focus to your lives! How many times do I have to go over these things? How much longer do I have to put up with this? Bring the boy here." He ordered the afflicting demon out—and it was out, gone. From that moment on the boy was well.
19When the disciples had Jesus off to themselves, they asked, "Why couldn't we throw it out?"
20"Because you're not yet taking God seriously," said Jesus. "The simple truth is that if you had a mere kernel of faith, a poppy seed, say, you would tell this mountain, 'Move!' and it would move. There is nothing you wouldn't be able to tackle."

To take God seriously I have to focus on Jesus.....to focus on Jesus I have to pray....to pray I have to surrender ...to surrender I have to KNOW ...to know I had to read the Bible....so now what.... I know......like I said too much ridin on bein distracted....

2 Samuel 4& 5; Psalm 139; Matthew 16

2+ years of meeting over, thinking it's the right thing but dang it just hurts....Brylie and I met for over 2 years, maybe closer to 3....I think we're both supposed to meet w/'others' ...but dang I like the comfortability that 2+ years bring and yet.....I imagine there is a point to meeting w/someone else.....it's not that I don't want to, it's just that we know each other, we challenge each other and now to think about building a new relationship in Christ just seems way more uncomfortable.....But if I seek more to live in comfort.....
I am going to miss her like crazy and praying someone else benefits from her constant curiousity.....

David and Peter.....just give you so much peace WHEN you really look at them......
so today in the tears, the scared softness...looking at them....remembering You aren't looking for the put together, the successful and smartest...You are looking for hearts seeking You.....so while soft is defintely scarier and filled w/tears it is the way I want to live and risking more and more in the softness.....

Psalm 139: 13 For you created my inmost being;
you knit me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.
When I awake, I am still with you.

2 Samuel 3; 1 Chronicles 12; Matthew 15

Focus on this or just continue to follow where You lead, continue to trust that You are in charge and that we as Your followers are called to love and be Your hands and feet in crisis....what does that look like you know??

Jesus always looking for the teachable moment....seeing the Pharisees hard / unteachable hearts...the woman's soft, humble heart to teach the Disciples the difference....and boy were they 'slow' learners....another loaves and fishes moment....

Praying today to BE soft....learn to stay soft(??) in soft is teachable.....in soft is danger yes...and yet the danger of being hard frightens me more ...right now....to live in Your protection and not mine....so praying today to BE soft....

where are you? hard or soft? teachable or unteachable? how do you get or stay there??

Family Fun Day April DWTS/TC

This is the only photo from FFD I am allowed to put on the interwebs, having to do with DWTS (Dancing w/the Stars) there was glitter and dancing involved and the males of my family while totally participatory did not want the day plastered all over the place to be used against them and since their participation was amazing due to the females fondness for DWTS I am honoring their request....reluctantly....

Let me just say the day was a BLAST....There was glitter as I said and flowers and competition FURIOUS....there was a tango complete w/costuming and drama that blew the judges socks off. There was some criticism... hubs and I's Paso Doble' was reviewed somewhat harshly.....the exact words of the judge was "you were handsome and you were handsome and then you went to work and you died"....so that was taken with a grain of salt and we moved into the second part of the evening.....oh yeah the Tango won....big deal.
Ok here's a small photo of the youngest competitor who was a member of team Mambo, the shaking of her little booty in the costume was pricesless if NOT prizewinning..

Top Chef style..we drew spoons, having those under 2 in the competition completely negated using knives!....We had 5 teams/pairs, a theme (rainbows), 5 courses (beverages, appetizers, soup/salad, main course and dessert) ...15 minutes to plan ....10 minutes to shop ...and 10 dollars per course to spend!! I can't begin to describe the fun we had....ahhh my kitchen was never intended to be more than a 2 butt kitchen and at any one time it was inhabited by at least 5 butts!!
We brought in impartial judges (yeah right lynz) and following intense butt crowded preparation.....we plated our food and were judged on originality and taste.....
originality.....we had some hot dogs marinated in tabasco....nuff said...can we say 'bottom 2!!'
uhhmmm....not to out anyone but they lost.....
We had such a good time all afternoon and into the early evening. Celebrated Allison's and my Birthday's in the process....Oh the first picture is my very first Grand pup...a long haired chihuahua named Petrie and she is adorable with or without her little dress and tolerates all the love Emma, Gabe and Millie shower her with outstandingly for her breed I would think, her life is always in peril around all THAT love!! :)

I was reading this morning in 2 Samuel 2 and gonna paraphrase here …
these 2 guys are chasing each other relentlessly and one guy looks back and says to the other ‘hey, how long you gonna chase me’ the guy replies w/’if you hadn’t said something all the way to the end of the world’ or something…so I think about how I just get caught up in the pursuit or feeling pursued or persecuted and IF I would just address a situation, knowing that He’s with me…. what could happen…??...
and then in Matthew 14, it’s the story of Peter walking on the water…and the message says….Peter ‘suddenly bold’ , I mean it’s Peter and he’s been following Jesus and KNOWS him and he just asks Jesus about walking on the water with Him and of course Jesus say’s ‘come on’ and he does it, Peter walks on the water, I mean HE WALKS ON WATER….
until he looks down and see the waves at his feet and then he starts to sink and he yells for Jesus to help him and Jesus … in Matthew 14 vs….31Jesus didn't hesitate. He reached down and grabbed his hand. Then he said, "Faint-heart, what got into you?"

He was close enough to ask and close enough for Jesus to reach out and help him….makes me wonder what if I followed Him that closely….

1 Samuel 28 & 29; Psalm 109; Matthew 11

Talked alot yesterday about GRACE.....alot about seeking YOU.....listened to people and tried so hard to JUST listen and yet in my head I want to point them to You....is that wrong??

Talked alot yesterday about GRACE...alot about what it looks like to seek You.....listened to people who don't understand either......

Talked alot yesterday about GRACE...alot about receiving it and .........listened and tried to grasp it.....
And then....today it's the title of this blog....reading AGAIN Matthew 11:28-30 a year of writing here....
"Experiencing the present purely is being empty and hollow;
you catch grace as a man fills his cup under a waterfall. " Annie Dillard
Grace is a daily...moment by moment....need FOR ME.....why does that come as such a surprise....I read this quote and I am just struck with a vision of a waterfall and me in it...smack dab in the middle of it with my cup extended trying to fill it and of course you can't the force of the water/grace is so overwhelming. I am drenched but the cup is empty, nothing to take away, I have to stay smack dab in the middle of the fall. Maybe if I do and become so drenched w/love and grace....I won't be able to stop giving it to others???

1 Samuel 27; Psalm 141; 1 Chronicles 9; Matthew 10

wondering where are people following you/me to?

From Master Plan of Evangelism... I wanted to just put from this book I'm reading...(yeah I know churchy title and yet the content of ths book has really touched my heart in major ways.)

The world is desperately seeking someone to follow. That they will follow someone is certain, but will that person be one who knows the way of Christ, or will he or she be one like themselves leading them only on into greater darkness?
This is the decisive question of our plan of life. The relevance of all that we do waits on it's verdict, and in turn, the destiny of the multitudes hangs in the balance.

Read that a few times and what does it do inside you.....I see the truth, I know it was/is true of me...that as my children grew and I became aware I was frightened of who they were going to follow because I hadn't followed anyone and I was just existing for me....I don't know just brings up alot of stuff inside me and wondered about what it brings up inside you?? I know I don't want to lead......and yet wonder if I do,did, inadvertantly take people somewhere?? wondering where are people following you/me to?

And then Matthew today....vs. 17-20"Don't be naive. Some people will impugn your motives, others will smear your reputation—just because you believe in me. Don't be upset when they haul you before the civil authorities. Without knowing it, they've done you—and me—a favor, given you a platform for preaching the kingdom news! And don't worry about what you'll say or how you'll say it. The right words will be there; the Spirit of your Father will supply the words.
21-23"When people realize it is the living God you are presenting and not some idol that makes them feel good, they are going to turn on you, even people in your own family. There is a great irony here: proclaiming so much love, experiencing so much hate! But don't quit. Don't cave in. It is all well worth it in the end.
It is not success you are after in such times but survival. Be survivors! Before you've run out of options, the Son of Man will have arrive
d.

It's so real and powerful......and very very frightening.....and very very cool.............................

1 Samuel 25 - 26; Psalm 63; Matthew 9

'Words don't match my actions'....ouch and then who the hell do you think you are saying that and then ouch again....and then just heart broken at the truth of it....and fear that they never will.....

Matthew 9: 29-31 He touched their eyes and said, "Become what you believe." It happened. They saw. Then Jesus became very stern. "Don't let a soul know how this happened." But they were hardly out the door before they started blabbing it to everyone they met.

Kind of like yesterday Matt. 8: 3-4 Jesus reached out and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be clean." Then and there, all signs of the leprosy were gone. Jesus said, "Don't talk about this all over town. Just quietly present your healed body to the priest, along with the appropriate expressions of thanks to God. Your cleansed and grateful life, not your words, will bear witness to what I have done." realizing that probably wasn't true of my life and then today to hear those words.....so what now....

Telling _____________ to be quiet and I haven't learned it...CRAP....to KNOW what to do and NOT do it...just CRAP....so again like yesterday be more David and not Saul.....not to get stuck in the shame and just try again.....Thank You Father that we can.

1 Samuel 24; Psalm 57 & 58; 1 Chronicles 8; Matthew 8

The old song ...'hurts so good' comes to mind this morning. With tears stinging my eyes, heart about to burst or break or something.....shame and embarassment threatening to overwhelm me and yet GRACE calls me...GRACE covers me....GRACE motivates me.....

I just see myself so clearly or as clearly as my self contempt allows and in that vision today....this morning I see choices......to be like Saul stuck in the shame and embarassment or like David and simply completely....humbly....turn back.....fall deeply into the GRACE YOU offer and rest......

So it 'hurts good' this morning and while it lasts I want to......just TRUST....when the old and new tie together.....look out.

1 Samuel 23; Psalm31&54; Matthew 7

There's alot to ponder here
Not to feel guilt or self contempt

just be truly sorry...broken and ...

Matthew 7:13-14 "Don't look for shortcuts to God. The market is flooded with surefire, easygoing formulas for a successful life that can be practiced in your spare time. Don't fall for that stuff, even though crowds of people do. The way to life—to God!—is vigorous and requires total attention.

1 Samuel 19;1Chron.7;Ps 59;Matt4

Celebrating our anniversary last nite w/our peeps:) was so cool and as cool as it was,
it hurts REAL GOOD to think of a year from now there being 3 more of these communities and a year from that 9 more and a year from that...
well you get the picture.
Groups of people who love YOU more as a result of getting together....seeking You together and in the seeking.... hearts change....

Matt.6:16 (Is.9:1-2) People sitting out their lives in the dark, saw a huge light,
Sitting in that dark, dark country of death, they watched the sun come up.

Lynz asked last nite 'why?'

Where you live
you know

When you see something different it either intrigues or offends you ~ sometimes both

then what?

If you've lived in the dark and see light

what do you do?

stay in the dark
or
reach for the light?

32 Thoughts About a Man after 32 Years With Him.

32 Years ago today we got married....
I am blessed that we did and want you to know I will THANK God for you forever.....

1. I will always remember our first date and all that went with that ;) our first kiss:) and your most romantic non-proposal.

2. I will always remember comparing suntans and driving into the ditch.....

3. You have sacrificed alot for us and I don't know that you've even counted the full cost and I am just grateful...don't be afraid to count that cost.

4. You are full of surprises and having benefitted from alot of them can't wait to watch others be surprised by you and what you do.

5. You are becoming more and more unSILENT and watching you find your voice has been amazing.

6. I still get a thrill when I see you in an engine what you do is so cool and there is no way a monkey could run an engine, NO WAY. You sell yourself short in many areas and this is one. :)

7. I also love to watch you ride either dirt or street bikes. I remember loving watching you operate 'iron' .... I think I just love to watch you...

8. I love to watch you peck out emails on the computer. I love how much thot goes into what you write, even tho as soon as you are done you cuss out the computer and swear you will never write another one!

9. Watching you with your son and son in law and the reaction of their wives to those interaction, you are a great mentor and becoming even better as you find your voice and I don't mean volume......see, I do just love to watch you....

10. There is something about you older that is just so damn attractive, could be looks... but could just be the way you are, the things He is doing in your heart. There is a kindness to you that while always there, is more enhanced and evident with age.

11. I really do love hearing your jokes.....really :)

12. Watching you learn to cook has been FUN. You would always bake, but now this cooking thing is extremely ATTRACTIVE....

13. You are definitely fun to grow older with, I firmly believe we will fight getting old and yet face the inevitability of growing older and that I get to do it with you is an incredible blessing.

14. Watching you with the Grandkids is beyond cute , you play with them in an amazing and super attractive way. (if you haven't caught it yet I also find you incredibly sexy and attractive)

15. There is no one more fun to travel the United States with. Your sense of adventure is staggering and that we get to travel on 2 wheels is amazing and the way you serve me on vacation (especially last year w/ a BROKE ARM) blew me away..... I believe God is taking us even further on a journey towards living in RISK and can't wait to see where THAT leads you.

16. You are filled w/compassion and empathy and the more Christ gets your heart the more He reveals that to others. Now the dilemma is I always knew it and NOW everyone is learning it and I have to learn more and more to share.

17. Just so you don't get a big head you have really ugly toes....just sayin :)

18. There is a certain hug you give that I hope noone ever gets but me...you know the one I am talking about. Selfish ...??....maybe

19. Sitting with you in the mornings reading and then sharing what we got from the reading is ...may be the biggest blessing of my life. I really do think I place it that high on the lists of blessings in my life. I pray and I know you do too, that our children find this same joy with their spouses and would love to see IF it were possible with children...I don't know, I do know what a blessing THAT time is to me and I am grateful.

20. Again, just so your head don't explode you DO have really ugly toes!

21. When you get all geared up for motorcycling have I already mentioned how attractive you are in that black?!!

22. When I see Emma or Gabes and now Millies face light up on Sunday morning when they see you, I get to see you through their eyes and THAT is wayyy cool. You are a very loving Papa.

23. Watching you struggle with whether or not to step away from Sound Team Leadership and doing it in a way that empowers another and then maybe to step into Coaching has been inspiring. You have sought Him in the decision and listened carefully for guidance I am excited to see where HE takes you.

24. Thinking about you marching up a 14r in June with your guys makes me very excited for them and you. I think I would keep you to myself if I could, but sharing you with them is very exciting. ...dang I AM selfish....

25. I wonder now why we ever had kids so early. I didn't know then what great company you are, I am sorry for so many years looking beyond who you were for something MORE. We both know we didn't know then what we know now and I guess I am just so very GRATEFUL we DO know it now. You know I wouldn't trade anything for the kids we have, just sayin I maybe wouldn't have been in such a hurry.....we could have 'practiced' more.

26. You never cease to amaze me with your wisdom and ability to speak to the heart of a matter. Probably grown as you have discovered your voice and that is so attractive. That you don't shrink back from speaking your heart, your gut maybe, but never your heart.

27. Your love of family and loyalty to them is another of your amazing traits. Loyalty and yet you hold us all so loosely as to feel incredibly free and loved.

28. There is nothing about you unattractive except your toes.

29. This new trait/quality of yours that I have labeled 'diffusal' is very intriguing use it wisely...:)

30. When we got married I don't know that we knew how to BE MARRIED Thank You for learning how together and not giving up....you taught me alot about perseverance .

31. I am armor bearer to your Jonathon 1 Samuel 14: 7 "Do all that you have in mind. Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul."

32. You are a man after God's own heart and I am blessed to share the pursuit.

1 Samuel 17; Psalm 9; Matthew 2

We, hubs and I are going into the Coaching realm of Small Group Leadership and this morning I am wondering how long we'll stay....
Sitting across from a fellow Small Group Leader, she will have to explain to me how spending time with You in Your word is not important. She will have to help me see how she can lead other women without You...how she is WITH YOU without being in Your word and
WOW that sounds harsh and yet from experience it doesn't feel harsh at all it feels like the softest most loving thing I could say....and that's because of my time in it...IT softens me like nothing else, it moves me more than anything, it, when I yield to what I read that is...and I yield more and more because of the time spent in it and seeing ...seeing......I believe in reading it there is direction and purpose and passion given to whomever reads it....and a softness to yield and follow wherever it leads....

Now, I wouldn't say it to anyone unless they profess to be a follower of Christ and desiring to lead others and really I think I will be asking them to explain to me HOW they do it without it?? I think I am genuinely curious about that....
I......so I wonder how long we'll last....I wonder how to make it feel loving when it already does to me?? I wonder how I will react to being disagreed with....I wonder if I have the stones to do this.....???

I am scared and yet feeling very passionate about it and usually passion just gets me in trouble...

Psalm 9: 8 He will judge the world in righteousness;
He will govern the peoples with justice.
9 The LORD is a refuge for the oppressed,
a stronghold in times of trouble.
10 Those who know your name will trust in you,
for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.

1 Samuel 15 - 16; 1 Chronicles 5; Matthew 1

I really love Tuesday mornings.....really any morning you get to read the Bible and engage with others about what you've read....it's just cool and something I wish I could give away.....something I wish I could share with more people.
The whole reason I started this blog in the first place was to do that, to share and to have others share with me...somehow it didn't work.

This verse always kind of stuns me...1 Sam 15: 10 Then the word of the LORD came to Samuel: 11 "I am grieved that I have made Saul king, because he has turned away from me and has not carried out my instructions." Samuel was troubled, and he cried out to the LORD all that night.

I wonder how many times now we grieve You.......David in all the times he screwed up...difference is..he turned back to You.....so to live like David and not Saul......soft and yielding to You...

1 Samuel 14; 1 Chronicles 4; 2 Corinthians 13

Woke up this morning foul....a real funk covering me....just plain old GRUMPY....

I am armor bearer to Dan's being my Jonathon.....1 Samuel 14: 7 "Do all that you have in mind," his armor-bearer said. "Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul."

32 years with this man and only the last few spent in respect and following where he leads....I am blessed that he put up with me...blessed that he continues to love me despite my lack of respect for him or his leadership.....

I will follow where he leads because he follows, desires to follow where YOU lead.

1 Samuel 6 - 7; Psalm 72; 2 Corinthians 9

through HIM
with HIM
in HIM
we can't do any of this on our own and THAT He does it in and through and with us...dang WHAT an amazing astonishing God....

2 Cor. 9: 6-7 Remember: A stingy planter gets a stingy crop; a lavish planter gets a lavish crop. I want each of you to take plenty of time to think it over, and make up your own mind what you will give. That will protect you against sob stories and arm-twisting. God loves it when the giver delights in the giving.
8-11 God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you're ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. As one psalmist puts it,

He throws caution to the winds,
giving to the needy in reckless abandon.
His right-living, right-giving ways
never run out, never wear out.
This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.
12-15 Carrying out this social relief work involves far more than helping meet the bare needs of poor Christians. It also produces abundant and bountiful thanksgivings to God. This relief offering is a prod to live at your very best, showing your gratitude to God by being openly obedient to the plain meaning of the Message of Christ. You show your gratitude through your generous offerings to your needy brothers and sisters, and really toward everyone. Meanwhile, moved by the extravagance of God in your lives, they'll respond by praying for you in passionate intercession for whatever you need. Thank God for this gift, his gift. No language can praise it enough!

The readings this morning were incredible especially 2 cor. 8 and it just led me to pray about our Small Group Leaders....that they/we would be so much about YOU and YOU make us about_______________trust that in being about YOU, YOU will guide them/us, because YOU REALLY DO know us so much better than we know ourselves.....

and then I went to one of my favorite blogs mark batterson his book btw In the Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day....highly recommend it. Anyway on his blog today is this quote...God wants you to get where God wants you to go more than you want to get where God wants you to go.

ALL OF US whether or not we are small group leaders ...to Matt. 6:33 and see what happens.Prayers for this Sunday...for lost to be found...for people to come to SC or wherever the Spirit leads them and in that they would rub against a follower of Christ who will journey with them as YOU lead.....Prayers for all of us Followers of Christ to follow....

Judges 17-18; Psalm 89; 2 Corinthians 3

This song just blowing through me this morning...Chris Tomlin ..
'My God reigns, Forever Your kingdom reigns'

don't know whether it was before or after reading...I think the reading led me to it....living my life without a KING...Judges 17: 6 In those days Israel had no king; everyone did as he saw fit. Message translation just says....People did whatever they felt like doing.

and now having a KING and wanting in a loving obedience do what He says.....
wanting to give my KING to my Daddy, my future SIL, really to anyone who recognizes that a life doing whatever we want doesn't cut it for us anymore.....

and you can't....you have to wait until they sense that doing what they see fit......has left them empty......

so until then in an obedience to my King......2 Cor. 3: 1 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
4 Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. 5Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

LOVE and serve and wait......in the LIFE YOU give.....why am I crying this morning....part impatience I am sure.....part just AWE...My God reigns.....

Judges 13 - 16; 2 Corinthians 2

I 'babysat' last nite at church and didn't enjoy it AT ALL...I loved on the kids, they just at 7 pm at nite were in no mood to be loved on. They wanted bed or Mom or Dad in maybe reverse order...I am hopeful that the parents were touched by the service last nite and hoping I will WANT to do that again someday...to serve them, the parents....this morning, not so sure. Wondering where the people are who WANT to love on kids and if it's supposed to me...then whoa....I better grab ahold of that because after last nite, sure don't seem like it could be...should be maybe...but I hate the 'shoulds' like crazy....so...prayerfully hoping for guidance and inspiration not only for me but for others...wonder if that's ok??

The sadness as I read Judges 16: 20 Then she said, "The Philistines are on you, Samson!" He woke up, thinking, "I'll go out, like always, and shake free." He didn't realize that God had abandoned him.

As I think about Matt. 6:33 and the ease w/which seeking You first disappears. How it can seem like it's You and Your will and it's simply another variation of what I want....and in that we are abandoned...?..or we have abandoned You..?..I don't know just a sadness as I read Samson didn't realize You had left him......
this is simple and yet not meant to be EASY....

2 Corinthians 2: 14-16 In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade. Through us, he brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere we go, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, we give off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation—an aroma redolent with life. But those on the way to destruction treat us more like the stench from a rotting corpse.
16-17 This is a terrific responsibility. Is anyone competent to take it on? No— but at least we don't take God's Word, water it down, and then take it to the streets to sell it cheap. We stand in Christ's presence when we speak; God looks us in the face. We get what we say straight from God and say it as honestly as we can.

To give off a sweet scent.....only in the pursuit of YOU....God help us to find this out for ourselves and follow where You lead......

Judges 11 -12; Psalm 50; 2 Corinthians 1

I love twittering...I love seeing a glimpse of someone's life, their journey, their day....this was the first 'tweet' I read this morning....

@lyndseyperry Gabe reading my Bible to me this morning - "Jesus loves everyone. And so He went and told everyone, 'no hittin' and punchin'!"

I love that my daughter is seeking Christ, I love that my Grands get to witness this seeking....I love that my Grandson gets already that God is love......I love twittering!

I loved hearing about Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore reading The Shack....I love when Brent Riggs shares a bible verse.....I love when my daughter in LA twitters that she is reading the twits of the rest of the family....I love twittering....do you twitter and do I have your addy??

In meeting w/my future SIL I was struck by my desire for him to lead my daughter...for him to follow Christ and love her as You love the church...I was struck that I want that so badly for her....

2 Corinthians 1: 8-11 We don't want you in the dark, friends, about how hard it was when all this came down on us in Asia province. It was so bad we didn't think we were going to make it. We felt like we'd been sent to death row, that it was all over for us. As it turned out, it was the best thing that could have happened. Instead of trusting in our own strength or wits to get out of it, we were forced to trust God totally—not a bad idea since he's the God who raises the dead! And he did it, rescued us from certain doom. And he'll do it again, rescuing us as many times as we need rescuing. You and your prayers are part of the rescue operation—I don't want you in the dark about that either. I can see your faces even now, lifted in praise for God's deliverance of us, a rescue in which your prayers played such a crucial part.
12-14 Now that the worst is over, we're pleased we can report that we've come out of this with conscience and faith intact, and can face the world—and even more importantly, face you with our heads held high. But it wasn't by any fancy footwork on our part. It was God who kept us focused on him, uncompromised. Don't try to read between the lines or look for hidden meanings in this letter. We're writing plain, unembellished truth, hoping that you'll now see the whole picture as well as you've seen some of the details. We want you to be as proud of us as we are of you when we stand together before our Master Jesus.

So my prayers are for Juno to come to know Christ and in that knowing see how YOU are, who You are and to live a life seeking after YOU FIRST.....
