Job 17; Acts 24-26

'Paul stood his ground' Acts 26:25
Not stubbornly posturing or manipulativly trying to get his way....just 'stood his ground'...

Ok this comes from thinking about my Dad years ago telling me I might be crazy and instead of 'standing my ground'...I backed down...believed him....got hurt and submerged and stopped talking to him about who You are...stopped asking him about a journey.....stopped

Just got a phone call from a gal who wanted me to know that a conversation about God/Jesus over 10 years ago .....she still remembers....she remembers seeing a passion in me for a relationship w/Christ that she wanted and now....now she is seeking her own relationship w/You...she is finding out that Jesus is someone she can know beyond what a priest tells her......I am grateful for that phone call......to love my Dad, stand my ground....pray for him to find You for himself before it's too late.....I don't know how to simply stand my ground without judging the ground someone else is on....but Abba I want to....please help us, all of us who believe in the power of Your Son simply stand there.....

This sentence is still rolling around in my head, my heart...The story made us different characters than if we'd showed up at the ending an easier way....Donald Miller Million Miles in a Thousand Years....

good quote..something for me to ponder now with coffee...

ringing in that is...God will work together all things for good.

no matter how we show up...or others show up......God is drawing and wooing and loving us to come to him.

He can take anyone at anytime and make a good thing happen from it.

thanks Becky
