I like the Message translation...what if I lived my life doing what I needed to do and trusted YOU with the rest?

Matthew 22 37-40 Jesus said, "'Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence.' This is the most important, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.' These two commands are pegs; everything in God's Law and the Prophets hangs from them."

I read and dream about Thru hiking the Appalachian trail. This morning the analogy leaked into the JOURNEY. Giving me a lot to think about today praying God gives clarity to this vision and legs to the dream IF it is a dream of and from Him….

There are day hikers and thru hikers…being an all or nothing kind of gal I DREAM of taking the MONTHS it would take to do it THRU….
I DREAM of meeting fellow hikers. I love helping people on the journey, pointing them to Him…. to the Bible…..I trust the path / the map….
I don’t know when or how it happened but I have fallen in love w/God…..I want to only help others FIND that love….

To take the journey you have to prepare…and God will do the rest…???

On the day you crash, IF you call out to Him He’s there to help, Dan and I knowing this are in the midst of helping marriages in crisis and the only thing we’re doing is pointing them to Him , walking with them thru the rocky patches……

So the JOURNEY is like a THRU HIKE you gotta commit…He wants us in it for the long haul…He wants us HOT to finish…..all I have to do is show people to the Trail Head and He’ll take care of them….we are simply called to walk alongside who He places in our path….

At least these are the thots I am having this morning…none of them clearly lined up….but there it is…..
