Genesis 20-22; Luke 8

Your story IS your story BUT YOUR story impacts others.
I am becoming very passionate about this. I think in reading blogs I see stories and see where sharing your story impacts me and IF it impacts me it is going to impact others. I see people discounting their stories....or being totally labeled by their stories ...and yet HE uses YOUR story to impact others...... 'no man is an island' is so true....whether we can see it or realize it at the time God uses our stories to bring others to Himself....and today I LOVE that.

And then I read this morning the story of Abraham and Isaac Genesis 22....God's testing of Abraham.....Abraham's obedience......it's always been one of such ridiculous faith to me.....ridiculous faith.

Luke 8 the story of the seeds....wonder how Mob told his story.....how the bleeding woman told hers..... how about Jairus....his daughter just how would she tell hers....

How do we tell ours ?

My wife, Lana, would completely agree with you. She tells me often that I underestimate our story. I know she's right. But to be perfectly honest, I'd much rather hear someone else's story.

More recently, a passion has been welling up within me to help others tell their stories. I like to say, "Less about my story. More about your story. A lot more about His story."

But I suppose there is a balance. His story does include my story...

Your posts over the past few days are bouncing around within my head and heart.

Becky - I've never read Piper, but I've got a friend who is restricted to basically an all Piper diet. Guess I should pick up one of his books if you say its a good companion to Packer.
