Msg. 12-17 When Jesus got word that John had been arrested, he returned to Galilee. He moved from his hometown, Nazareth, to the lakeside village Capernaum, nestled at the base of the Zebulun and Naphtali hills. This move completed Isaiah's sermon:
Land of Zebulun, land of Naphtali,
road to the sea, over Jordan,
Galilee, crossroads for the nations.
People sitting out their lives in the dark
saw a huge light;
Sitting in that dark, dark country of death,
they watched the sun come up.
....and then what?
What of those comfortable in the dark? What if they don't even KNOW it's dark? Are we then responsible to make them uncomfortable? What if they are afraid? How to help them see YOUR protection?
I think I 'see' Your protection now, I think I seek to live there and in that seeing maybe I become more courageous?
Am I too comfortable?
I want to follow You into LIGHT....and you know what?
I KNOW You'll take me there, because it IS about following You. There is no trail to be blazed, no momentum to be created it's YOU leading and guiding us as followers of Christ FOLLOWING.
