Jeremiah 48 - 49; Psalm 67; 1 John 1

This promise of intimacy is both right and wrong. There is an intimacy with God, but it's like any other intimacy; it's part of the fabric of your life. In marriage you don't feel intimate most of the time. Nor with a friend. Intimacy isn't primarily a mystical emotion. It's a way of life, a life of openness, honesty, a certain transparency. ~Eugene Peterson

All morning this thot….’can we really find God w/o His word?’ or ‘can we find the real God?’ or ‘finding God implies His being lost. He’s not, I was, we are.’….reading in Jeremiah this week…23:36 But you must not mention 'the oracle of the LORD ' again, because every man's own word becomes his oracle and so you distort the words of the living God, the LORD Almighty, our God.
I lived, can still live in and under my own ‘word’……..i have to, HAVE to believe Your word….to believe it, I have to engage it w/my mind, intelligence, heart ….in that engaging am I giving You more power in my life? What evidence do I have of that power changing my life?
I do know I don’t want to go back, back to……hmmmm

1 John 1: Walking in the light
5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.
